That was the question that led me to build Afterstone. This week Devon Life put it on the page, and I will admit I cried because Lewis Clarke understood exactly what we are trying to do.
I will not retell the whole thing here, because he tells it better. But if you have ever arranged a funeral and found nothing that looked like the person you had lost, or kept ashes in a box on a windowsill, not knowing what else to do, you will recognise why Afterstone exists.
We are not trying to sell anyone something they do not need. We are just letting people know the choice exists. Understated, made in Britain, kept close.
