We take a small amount of human or pet ash to create a timeless tribute. Our Afterstone pebbles and heart are crafted to fit comfortably in your hand, providing a reassuring presence whilst our bowls and vases provide a perfect tribute that fits into your home

1. Choose your Afterstone piece

Select your Afterstone piece, decide if you want engraving and enter your details at checkout.

We will then dispatch a secure collection kit for your loved ones ashes with pre-paid return signed for and tracked protective packaging

2. Fill your secure ashes collection kit

Place no more than 50 grams of ashes into the provided collection kit and post it back to our Devon studio.

Your kit is tracked and signed for and we email you to confirm we've received it and keep you updated throughout the process

3. Your ashes stay tracked; your piece returns in 4 to 6 weeks

Your loved one's ashes are tagged with their name, order number and unique ID, and stay on their own tray throughout.

We speak to them by name, never a number. Your piece comes back within 4 to 6 weeks, on a delivery date we agree with you, 24-hour signed-for and tracked with Royal Mail.

Our collection divides naturally into two:

Keepsake pieces designed to be held and carried close that are tactile and nice to feel. These include our solo pebble, pebble signature set, heart and teddy bear
Practical pieces that sit beautifully in the home and can be used every day: trinket bowls, lidded pots and vases.

Every Afterstone ash-into-stone piece is individually made from your loved one's cremated ashes (human or pet) and handcrafted in Devon using British materials.

For many, having something physical to hold brings a sense of comfort — a way to feel connected, even in absence. Holding an Afterstone can become a small, personal ritual. A moment of stillness. Something to return to in times of reflection.

Every piece is smooth, weighty, and warm to the touch — designed to be held, carried, or displayed as a lasting tribute to someone you loved.

Our care & compliance commitment

We operate a strict, fully documented tracking process from the moment your loved one’s ashes arrive in our care until they are returned to you. Every step is handled individually with the highest level of regulatory compliance, ensuring a secure and transparent chain of custody. We are associate members of SAIF and AGFD and adhere to their Codes of Practice. We follow FBCA guidelines on the management and handling of ashes.
