We are so excited to share that Afterstone will be exhibiting at the Bicton International Horse Trials from Wednesday 28th to Saturday 31st May 2026.
About the event
The Bicton International Horse Trials take place at Bicton Arena in East Devon, set in breathtaking Grade I listed parkland. This year's event is bigger than ever — hosting the UK leg of the FEI Eventing Nations Cup, the British Young Rider National Championships and the CCIP2* trials for Pony Riders, attracting world-class riders and their horses from across the globe.
New for 2026, a large screen near the trade stands means you won't miss a moment of the action — whether it's dressage, show jumping or the spectacular cross-country course.
With a shopping area, food stands and family entertainment all set within one of Devon's most beautiful estates, it truly is one of the finest days out in the South West this summer half term.
Advance tickets are on sale. Advance passes offer the best value, as prices increase closer to the event. Children 10 and under, as well as carers, receive free admission (though a ticket is still required). Camping tickets must be purchased in advance.Purchase day, weekend, or season passes via the Bicton International Horse Trials Ticket Office.

We've been busy. Here's a taste of what to expect:
Show exclusives — we're bringing three products you won't find anywhere else. Our oak stable door nameplates, oak remembrance plaques and extra large memorial stones are available exclusively at the show and online until 2 June.

The Extraordinary Bones educational corner — we've created something a little different. A curiosity corner. Come and discover what your bones are actually made of, feel exactly how much ash different animals leave behind, and find out why bone survives fire, time and thousands of years in the ground. It's educational, it's interactive and it's genuinely surprising for all ages.
The Sherlock Bones Treasure Hunt — Keep the kids entertained throughout your visit. Running on Saturday and Sunday only. Six of Sherlock Bones' friends have gone missing around the event, and he needs your children's help to find them. Pick up a hunt card from our stand before you head out on the course, track them all down and return for a bag of Afterstone pebble sweets. Free, fun and a brilliant way to explore the whole showground.

Given the English weather can be 'variable' at the best of times, we couldn't be more pleased — the forecast is looking absolutely stunning for the whole week. Perfect Devon sunshine, stunning horses and riders, and lots to see – surely the perfect day out.
