The candle is made in the UK using traditional methods and ingredients, chosen for its steady, clean burn and consistent light.

The wooden plate is crafted from responsibly sourced beech and left untreated, allowing the natural grain to remain visible. Each plate is engraved with the Afterstone mark — a subtle detail that connects it to the wider collection.

A raised edge helps to catch wax as the candle burns, protecting the surface beneath.

Candle care

Trim the wick to approximately 10mm before each use. Ensure candle is upright and secure on the plate. Remove all packaging before lighting. To prevent tunneling, burn the candle for 2-4 hours the first time it is lit. Avoid placing near drafts, vents, or open windows. Do not leave burning candles unattended. Keep out of reach of children and pets. Keep wicks trimmed to ¼ inch before each burn. Do not allow the candle to burn completely to the base; extinguish before it reaches the holder. Dispose of any remaining wax and packaging responsibly.
