What do you need to arrange a farewell service or celebration of life after a direct cremation?
How you choose to remember someone is deeply personal. However, there are a few things to consider.
- When and where do you want to have the farewell? Who will be invited to attend?
- An announcement so people know the date of the farewell and where it will be; this can be printed or digitally sent via email, WhatsApp or social media messaging platforms.
- An order of service if people are following along, a possible memento of the person – that could be a memorial bookmark with their photograph and some special words.
- A focal point for the service. This could be their ashes in a scatter tube or urn, a remembrance candle for them or their ashes made into a memorial piece, like an Afterstone.
- A plan for the ashes (what you want to do with them, and do you want to mark their ash-scattering place with an engraved memorial stone or record them on a register like the Ashes Register).

Can you buy the pieces in a set separately?
Yes. Every piece is also sold on its own across the memorial stones, ash scatter tubes, stationery, candles and pottery collections. Buying a set brings the pieces together in one coordinated delivery and at lower price (£190 compared to £203 individually selected).
What colours do the sets come in?
The Farewell set, Complete stationery set and Memory book set come in four designs: ivory, beige, navy/turquoise, and chocolate/copper. The Omega 'Make them Proud' set comes in ivory or beige.
What is the difference between the Farewell set and the Omega set?
The Farewell set (£75) includes the items you'll need for the ash scattering: an adult scatter tube, a personalised memorial stone and the Farewell Guide.
The Omega set (from £190) covers the whole funeral or celebration of life service, including full printed and digital stationery for a service and wake as well as a British-made remembrance candle set.
How do I personalise the Order of service and other materials in the digital template bundle?
The Omega set includes a digital template bundle you edit in Canva, free to use. When you buy the set you receive a PDF with a link to each template: the orders of service, announcement cards, posters, memorial bookmark, memory cards and thank you cards.
Click a link, select "use template", and the design copies into your own Canva account. Save a copy of the template.
Double-click any text box to type your own words, and adjust the font size, spacing and alignment to fit as much or as little as you need. To add a photo, upload it and drag it into the image frame.
When you are ready, download as a PDF for printing. Work on a copy so you always have the original to return to. If you would rather not edit the designs yourself, or you want a professional check before printing, our in-house designer can help from £50: louise@tinydesignsdevon.uk.
When will I get my order?
We understand arranging a farewell carries a lot of stress, so we dispatch these sets as quickly as possible. Our standard delivery is in 5-10 days, but we try to get these out asap. If you have a date you need them by, please let us know.
